Our Symbol

With symbolic ties to the discoverers of Rhenium and the Rhine River whence it was found, we at Robertson Environmental LLC are proud to share its chemical symbol as our own.  Known as Chemistry's Missing Link, Rhenium (Re) has a special place in history as it was the last of the naturally occurring, non-radioactive elements to be found.  Its discovery in 1925 completed Mendeleev's iconic Periodic Table of the Elements.   Further, Rhenium at 5,597°C (10,107°F) has the second highest boiling temperature of any element, remaining a liquid at temperatures exceeding that of the surface of the Sun.
